Team Studio Know-How...Jointly Building a Virtual Studio

SKT and Sejong University are joining hands to promote education and joint research in the fields of AI and XR.

SK Telecom announced on the 27th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on industry-academia cooperation with Sejong University's Metaverse Convergence Graduate School with the goal of leading the global AI and media content production paradigm.

At the MOU signing ceremony held at Sejong University's Ocean AI Center, key officials from both sides, including SKT's Kim Hyuk, Head of Media Partnerships, Sejong University's Eom Jong-hwa, President of the Administrative Office, and Song Hyeong-gyu, Head of the Metaverse Convergence Graduate School Business Group, participated and agreed to join forces to foster global AI content talent.

SKT will jointly build a virtual studio equipped with large LED wall equipment capable of implementing XR on campus with Sejong University, based on its expertise in establishing and operating a specialized XR (Extended Reality, mixed reality) team studio.

Additionally, both parties plan to continue industry-academic cooperation, including education and joint research in various AI and XR fields, through the virtual studio being built.
