Infineon Technologies (Korea CEO Seungsoo Lee) has been selected as a world-class sustainable company.

Infineon announced on the 12th that it has been included again in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index published by S&P Global.

“We are proud that Infineon has been recognized as one of the world’s most sustainable companies for the 14th consecutive year,” said Elke Reichart, Member of the Executive Board and Head of Digital Transformation at Infineon. “We are continuously developing our processes and driving innovation both inside and outside the company to make further progress toward our ambitious sustainability goals. Green and digital transformation are closely linked.”

Infineon is on track to achieve its goal of carbon neutrality by 2030. To date, emissions have decreased by 56.8 percent compared to the base year of 2019, while business has roughly doubled. As a leader in semiconductors for power electronics and the Internet of Things (IoT), Infineon is making a significant contribution to decarbonization on the path to a carbon-neutral society. Infineon's products and solutions reduce carbon dioxide emissions during their use by a factor of 34 compared to the emissions generated during production.

This year, Infineon received particularly high marks in the areas of privacy and innovation management, which include research and development, product innovation, and process innovation through digitalization and Industry 4.0 applications.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index selects companies with outstanding sustainability across 61 industries based on economic, environmental, and social performance. This evaluation is based on the company's economic, environmental and social performance.
