Samsung Electronics will unveil 'Galaxy AI' for the first time at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024.

Samsung Electronics sent out invitations on the 3rd announcing that it will hold 'Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024: Opening a New Era of Mobile AI' on January 17 at 10:00 AM (local time in San Jose, California, USA), and on January 18 (Thu) at 3:00 AM KST.

It appears that Samsung Electronics sent invitations to global media and partners along with a video containing this information.

Samsung Electronics stated, “We hope you experience firsthand the innovation of Samsung Electronics and Galaxy AI, which is filled with new mobile AI experiences and infinite possibilities.”

Although the specific product name was not revealed in the invitation, the use of the phrase "Galaxy AI is coming" suggests it is the Galaxy S24 series equipped with the previously teased on-device AI technology.

Meanwhile, the invitation video features & equipped with Gemini, the multimodal AI unveiled by Google last DecemberThe star shape, the logo of 'Bard', appeared alongside it. Through this, it is predicted that Samsung Electronics will support open source technologies such as Google's Bard and OpenAI's 'GPT-4', along with 'Samsung Gauss', a generative AI developed by Samsung Research, in the Galaxy S24.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is expected to equip the Galaxy S24 with the mobile AP 'Exynos 2400'. Compared to its predecessor, the Exynos 2200, the Exynos 2400 shows a 1.7-fold improvement in CPU performance and a 14.7-fold improvement in AI performance, with enhanced GPU performance as well. Additionally, the use of Qualcomm's 'Snapdragon 8 Gen 3' AP, unveiled last October, is also anticipated.

This Unpacked event will be held offline in January for the first time. The event will be simultaneously live-streamed online via Samsung Electronics Newsroom, Samsung.com, and Samsung Electronics YouTube.
