Excalibur, an AI-based veterinary diagnostic assistance solution developed by SKT, will be introduced in Australia in the first half of this year.

SK Telecom announced on the 13th that it signed a commercial agreement with ATX Medical Solutions, Australia's largest medical device distributor, for the distribution of X Caliber, an AI-based veterinary diagnostic assistance solution, in Australia.

Excalibur is a solution developed by SKT in 2022 based on AI datasets in collaboration with five veterinary universities.

By uploading X-ray images of 17 types of musculoskeletal and thoracic organs of a pet taken at a hospital through Excalibur to the cloud, the veterinarian can be provided with AI analysis results, including abnormal findings and location information, within approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute.

SKT expects that Excalibur will be used in approximately 300 animal hospitals in Australia using ITX PACS as early as the first half of the year.

ATX plans to launch Excalibur in the Australian market by linking it to its existing cloud software, 'ITX PACS'.

This achievement comes less than 100 days after the two companies signed a strategic partnership to utilize Excalibur in November of last year.
