Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced the launch of the E7515W UXM Wireless Connectivity Test Platform for Wi-Fi®, a network emulation solution that provides signaling radio frequency (RF) and throughput testing of Wi-Fi 7 devices supporting 4x4 MIMO 320 MHz bandwidth.

Developed by the IEEE as the 802.11be standard, Wi-Fi 7 is a next-generation Wi-Fi wireless communication technology that offers significantly improved performance and advanced technologies compared to the previous Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 6 standards. This requires device manufacturers to conduct extensive signaling RF and throughput testing on clients and access points (APs) when deploying Wi-Fi 7 devices to ensure designed functionality and performance. However, existing solutions require very complex test setups and emulate real-world operating conditions across numerous Wi-Fi devices and network channels.

The latest Keysight UXM wireless connectivity test solution addresses these challenges with a turnkey solution that simplifies Wi-Fi 7 testing for RF engineers and provides unique physical (PHY) and medium access control (MAC) layer insights.

The E7515W UXM Wireless Connectivity Test Solution extends the market-leading UXM 5G network emulation solution to simulate Wi-Fi devices and traffic to support new use cases associated with the latest IEEE 802.11be standard, enabling the simultaneous emulation of hundreds of clients along with traffic simulation, three times more than existing solutions on the market, without the need for additional equipment.

Supports Wi-Fi 7 4x4 MIMO 320 MHz bandwidth, performs Wi-Fi 7 signaling RF and throughput testing on clients and APs including the latest 802.11 versions, and presents relevant Wi-Fi signaling and RF throughput results using analysis software that provides PHY/MAC level information such as rate vs. range, enhanced receive (Rx) sensitivity, radio unit (RU) sweep analysis, and peak rate throughput.

It also leverages Wi-Fi/cellular interworking validation of 5G and LTE capabilities, integrated fixed wireless access (FWA) testing, and more complex device testing for the fast-growing consumer equipment (CPE) market, offering benefits such as built-in synchronization, improved repeatability, reduced wiring and test setup time, greater automation, and faster debugging and reporting.
