In the era of paradigm shift toward AI PCs, Intel has announced new personnel appointments in the Asia-Pacific region, a key IT market.

Intel announced on the 22nd new executive personnel appointments for its Sales, Marketing and Communications Group (SMG) that will oversee the Asia-Pacific region (including Japan and India, excluding China).

Hans Chuang has been appointed as General Manager of Intel SMG Asia-Pacific region. General Manager Chuang will be based in Taiwan and will be responsible for overall business operations in the APJ region, including promoting revenue growth, fostering local ecosystem collaboration to create new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing customers and partners.

Hans Chuang holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from McGill University.

Newly appointed APJ SMG General Manager Hans Chuang stated, "I am pleased to lead Intel's growth and innovation in the Asia-Pacific region, one of the most diverse and rapidly growing regions even as Intel drives transformation," and added, "Leveraging the strengths of regional partners and continuing efforts to build an open ecosystem that supports customers in a transparent and secure manner will be key to achieving long-term success in the Asia-Pacific region."

Additionally, in March this year, Intel announced India as a separate region within the SMG organization to capitalize on India's rapid growth and business opportunities. Santhosh Viswanathan, India Regional Managing Director (MD), will lead the newly established region, leveraging his expertise in pursuing value and customer-centric approaches.

India Regional Managing Director Santhosh Viswanathan stated, "Intel is witnessing enormous business opportunities and growth momentum in India," and added, "By establishing a separate region, we can collaborate more closely with customers based on India's strong engineering foundation. I am pleased to lead Intel's business in India at such a critical time."

Intel's appointment of Hans Chuang and Santhosh Viswanathan as SMG organization heads for APJ and India, respectively, is understood to reflect the company's strategy to reorganize its organizational structure in line with evolving market dynamics. Intel aims to enhance responsiveness and efficiency in addressing unique opportunities and challenges in each region by leveraging internal leadership talent, and to establish a strong position for sustained success in these growth markets.
