Mouser will begin stocking products from Intel's new independent FPGA company, Altera.

Mouser Electronics, the global authorized Intel® distributor, announced today that it is now stocking products from Altera™, a new independent field-programmable gate array (FPGA) company.

Intel officially announced the launch of Altera during its recent FPGA Vision webcast. Altera chief executive officer Sandra Rivera and chief operating officer Shannon Poulin announced the new corporate brand, stating, “We are expanding our portfolio to include the only FPGAs with AI embedded in the fabric, and unveiling our strategy to support our customers’ growing challenges.”

Altera's expanded portfolio and roadmap effectively address the growing FPGA market across cloud, network, and edge.

Altera aims to target fast-growing application areas by enhancing AI capabilities with easy integration with its Quartus Prime software. Altera provides the FPGA AI Suite and OpenVINO, which can create optimized intellectual properties (IP) based on standard frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Altera's FPGAs seamlessly integrate critical AI inference capabilities and provide flexible solutions that can adapt to evolving standards such as PCI Express, CXL, Ethernet, and 6G wireless to address changing market requirements.

Meanwhile, Mouser has been an authorized global distributor for Altera since 2013, continuously supplying innovative technologies including products such as Arria™ 10 FPGAs, Cyclone™ V FPGAs, Stratix™ V GX, and Agilex™ F series FPGA development kits. Intel acquired Altera in 2015, and Mouser has been an authorized distributor for Intel since 2013.
