Intel announced on the 16th Thunderbolt Share, a new software solution that will change the way users interact with two PCs.

Thunderbolt Share can be used with PCs and accessories equipped with Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5 ports, and enables more flexible and productive work through screen sharing and fast file transfer between PCs.

Thunderbolt Share, powered by Thunderbolt networking capabilities, was highlighted as a solution beneficial to users with multiple PCs, as it allows users to interact with two PCs simply and efficiently.

Consumers and business professionals can enjoy a better ergonomic environment through shared monitors and maximize their workspace by using multiple PCs. Thunderbolt explained that it has the bandwidth and low latency to provide these features with the quality and experience users demand.

For example, seamless visual experience through smooth uncompressed screen sharing via highly responsive mouse and keyboard controls between PCs, fast file transfer between two PCs including simple drag-and-drop, folder synchronization, and easy file migration from an old PC to a new PC, easy collaboration between users sharing large files, support via direct connection between PCs or via Thunderbolt accessories with multiple ports such as a Thunderbolt dock or monitor, and private secure connections that do not affect Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cloud network performance are being presented.

Thunderbolt Share technology is scheduled to be available for PCs and accessories starting in the second half of 2024. Announcements are expected from Lenovo, Acer, MSI, Razer, Kensington, Belkin, Promise, Plugable, OWC, and others.
