On the 25th, Samsung Electronics signed a business agreement with Hyundai Motor Group for technological partnership and mutual cooperation at Samsung Electronics Seoul R&D Campus.

The signing ceremony was attended by Samsung Electronics DX Division CTO and Samsung Research President Kyunghoon Jeon, Device Platform Center Director Seungbeom Choi, IoT Development Team Leader Chanwoo Park, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia AVP Headquarters President Changhyun Song, Infotainment Development Center Director Haeyoung Kwon, and Fortytwodot Vice President Jinhee Choi.

Through this agreement, Samsung Electronics plans to provide differentiated experiences by linking SmartThings with the next-generation infotainment system currently under development by Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Motors, and Forty Two Dot.

First, we will introduce a function that identifies the location of vehicles and smart keys by utilizing SmartThings Find technology, a global location confirmation solution.

If you have a Galaxy smartphone, you can find the location of your vehicle using other Galaxy smartphones located nearby, even without the vehicle's 4G/5G network connection.<br />
For example, if you forget where you parked or if an unexpected car theft occurs, you can now track your location.

In addition, users can register their vehicles to SmartThings automation for customized control, and quickly and conveniently check air conditioning control, driving range, and charging status from the top quick panel of their Galaxy smartphone.

Additionally, you will be able to control Samsung Electronics home appliances and IoT devices in your home through SmartThings from your vehicle's infotainment system.

In addition, we will continue to collaborate with Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors to provide various smart things services based on AI technology tailored to customers' lifestyles and tastes.
