SK Telecom has appointed new CEO Jae-heon Jeong and is embarking on a full-fledged AI-centric management strategy.


SK Telecom officially announced that it has appointed Jaeheon Jeong, President of External Cooperation, as its new CEO.

CEO Jeong, a professional manager with a legal background, has extensive public service experience and has held key positions within the SK Group. He is considered a leader well-suited to the changes in AI and the telecommunications industry.

CEO Jaeheon Jeong joined SKT as the Head of the Legal Group in 2020, and as a founding member of SK Square in 2021, he served as the Head of the Investment Support Center, overseeing key departments such as strategy, legal affairs, and finance.

Since 2024, he has been in charge of ESG, CR, and PR functions as the President of External Cooperation at SKT, and has led the advancement of the group's management system as the Chairman of the Governance Committee of the SUPEX Pursuit Council.

In particular, he contributed to establishing 'AI governance' at SKT and securing the reliability and safety of AI technology.
