AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN, an AI company under Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), are establishing a joint venture aimed at building a world-class AI infrastructure. The three companies plan to build up to 1 GW of infrastructure by 2030 to meet global AI demand.

The joint venture aims to commence operations in 2026, with its first phase being the construction of a 100MW AI infrastructure. This will be implemented by combining Humain's state-of-the-art data center, AMD Instinct™ MI450 GPUs, and Cisco's core infrastructure solutions. The three companies will offer a modern data center model characterized by energy efficiency and low capital expenditure, providing scalable AI solutions to global customers.

This collaboration embodies the long-term strategic partnership announced during US President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia last May. Saudi Arabia has set a national goal of developing an AI-driven digital economy. According to Cisco's AI Readiness Index, 91% of local organizations plan to introduce AI agents, but only 29% have GPU processing capabilities, necessitating urgent infrastructure expansion.
