Hyundai Motor Group has strengthened its strategic partnership with global industrial gas company Air Liquide and is taking a full-scale step toward expanding its hydrogen ecosystem.

Hyundai Motor Group and Air Liquide signed an MOU during the Hydrogen Council CEO General Assembly held in Seoul on the 4th, and announced that they will solidify their global leadership as co-chairs of the Hydrogen Council and promote the advancement of the hydrogen value chain, focusing on Korea, the United States, and Europe.

The event was attended by key officials from both companies, including Hyundai Motor Group Vice Chairman Chang Jae-hoon, Energy & Hydrogen Business Division Head Ken Ramirez, and Air Liquide Group Chairman Francois Jackow.

Hyundai Motor Group and Air Liquide will pursue technological advancements across the entire process of hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization, while also expanding the global hydrogen charging station network and developing technologies to enhance the safety of green hydrogen.

Through this, the plan is to implement strategies to expand hydrogen mobility, build infrastructure, and secure a stable supply chain.

Air Liquide, a global gas company headquartered in France, is a leader in the industrial and medical sectors, as well as in the construction of hydrogen energy infrastructure.

The company has maintained a cooperative relationship with Hyundai Motor Group since 2018 and is currently a major shareholder in HyNet and Kohygen, domestic hydrogen charging station operators.

We are also working with Lotte Group to promote the distribution of hydrogen trucks and supply hydrogen buses to domestic charter bus operators.
