The Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATI) is promoting employee training and corporate support for the parts industry during the transition to the future automotive industry.

Hanjayeon announced on the 24th that it is conducting job transition education and training and corporate support consulting for the parts industry facing the transition to future vehicles through the 'Industrial Transition Joint Training Center' project organized by the Korea Human Resources Development Service under the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

The Industrial Transition Joint Training Center Project is a government-supported initiative designed to strengthen the capabilities of companies and workers in response to changes in the industrial structure. Its primary focus is on the transition to future vehicles, such as eco-friendly and autonomous vehicles.

Hanjayeon will carry out the project for five years from 2025 to 2029. In 2025, the first year of operation, it signed agreements with 161 companies and operated educational courses focused on future vehicle sectors such as fuel cells, electrification, and autonomous driving.

In addition, customized diagnostics and technology capability support consulting were integrated and operated for 15 companies. Through this, support was provided for the development of new business items, establishment of commercialization strategies, process improvement, and quality enhancement.

This year, Hanjayeon plans to enhance its education and training programs to reflect the demands of the industrial field and expand corporate consulting support. We will begin full-scale business operations starting next month.

Specifically, the curriculum has been expanded to include practical training courses such as automotive software development based on the AUTOSAR standard software platform for future vehicles, battery management system (BMS) software development based on Model-Based Design (MBD), and technologies for applying international certification regulations for future vehicle cybersecurity.

In addition, we plan to establish and operate an 'integrated training-consulting performance management system' that links consulting services to companies where a large number of employees have participated in training.

Jin Jong-wook, President of the Korea Automotive Industry Association, stated, “The transition to the future automotive industry is a critical task that determines the competitiveness and survival of parts companies, going beyond mere technology acquisition,” adding, “We will support the transition of the parts industry through practical, field-oriented education and training that can be immediately applied in the field, as well as customized corporate support consulting.”
