With the mobile gaming market demanding both high-spec performance and portability, Lenovo Korea has unveiled a new solution. This announcement carries significance beyond simply unveiling a new product, as gamers demand stable and immersive gameplay in their everyday lives.

On March 12th, Lenovo Korea announced that it would officially launch the "LegionTab Y700 5th Generation" in Korea on the 16th. The new product is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5th generation processor, boasting improved performance and power efficiency, and supports up to 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage. It also features a large-capacity 9,000mAh battery and a vapor chamber that is 70% larger than its predecessor, ensuring heat control and long-term usability.

The display is an 8.8-inch 3K PureSight panel, supporting a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut. With 600 nits of brightness (up to 750 nits in HBM mode) and a 10-point touchscreen, it delivers a clear screen and precise operation even in outdoor environments.

This generation's defining feature is AI. Google's Gemini and Circle to Search are pre-installed, allowing for seamless strategic search and translation during gameplay. Region Space and Game Assistant are installed here to support game management and performance mode switching, and PC/smartphone connectivity is also possible via Smart Connect. A newly added lighting feature synchronizes lighting effects to match game scenes, enhancing immersion.

The hardware design also took mobility into consideration. Measuring 7.79mm thick and weighing approximately 360g, it enhances portability, and supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 for stable wireless connectivity. The domestically released model comes pre-installed with Hangul ROM, allowing immediate use without additional setup. It also comes with one year of ADP service and premium care.

“The Legion Tab Y700 5th Generation is a product designed to let you enjoy gaming anytime, anywhere in your daily life,” said Shin Kyu-sik, CEO of Lenovo Korea. “We will meet the diverse needs of gamers through AI-based user experiences and the Legion ecosystem.”

The launch price is 1.099 million won for the 12GB/256GB model and 1.199 million won for the 16GB/512GB model. During the pre-order period, they can be purchased for around 990,000 won and 1.09 million won, respectively. The new product will be unveiled for the first time on Naver Shopping Live on the 16th and will be available for sale on major online markets starting on the 23rd.
