Dell Technologies has set out to revamp its professional product lineup by simultaneously launching desktop AI systems and mobile and tower workstations to meet the growing demand for AI computing. This announcement is largely a response to the trend of handling AI model development, inference, simulation, and visualization tasks in on-premises or personal work environments without relying on the cloud.

At an announcement for the Korean market on March 23, Dell put its professional brand 'Dell Pro Precision' back at the forefront and unveiled a new product lineup including the 'Dell Pro Max with GB300'. The new Precision lineup is scheduled to be released sequentially between late March and May.

The most notable product is the 'Dell Pro Max with GB300'. Based on the NVIDIA GB300 SuperChip, this product features up to 20 petaflops of performance (FP4) and a 748GB memory configuration. It is designed to enable large-scale language model experimentation, fine-tuning, agent development, and data analysis in a local environment. It also includes an expandable structure that allows two units to be connected, as well as support for open-source runtimes.

In the mobile product lineup, the Dell Pro Precision 7 14 and 16 were presented as the top-tier models. The 16-inch model targets high-performance tasks such as 3D work and AI inference, while the 14-inch model balances portability and performance by emphasizing its relatively light weight. Both products are designed to cater to creative and engineering needs, featuring Blackwell-based GPUs, AI acceleration capabilities, high-resolution OLED display options, and expansion ports.

The tower-type 'Dell Pro Precision 9' series is divided into T2, T4, and T6. By model, the range of memory, storage, and GPU expansion varies, and they are configured to handle high-load tasks such as simulation, visual effects, and AI training. The entry-level 'Dell Pro Precision 5' series is positioned as a mobile workstation designed for general design work, data analysis, and environments requiring frequent movement.

This announcement demonstrates a trend where AI infrastructure is partially expanding from a data center-centric approach into personal work environments. In particular, there is a growing demand among enterprises to operate AI models and agents within internal security policies, rather than storing sensitive data in external clouds. Through this product line, Dell has presented a direction to encompass local development, mobile high-performance tasks, and massively scalable workloads within a single portfolio.
