Sharing AI-based operational management technologies and best practices
H Energy announced that it will hold the distributed energy event 'DERlink' at Daegu EXCO on April 23. 'DERlink' is a name combining Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Link, signifying the intention to connect field facilities, data, and operational technology.
The event will introduce the technological advancements of H Energy's AI-based solar power plant operation and management platform, 'SolarOnCare'. This platform is equipped with a structure that utilizes an AI model trained on regional weather patterns and power plant operation data to detect anomalies in real time, predict power generation, and provide integrated support for equipment control. Another feature is the ability to operate distributed power generation resources as a single Virtual Power Plant (VPP).
The scope of application covers the entire distributed energy sector, including solar power plants and energy storage systems (ESS). In particular, given the nature of the industry which requires remote management of power plants scattered across the country, combining the inspection experience of on-site safety managers with the data analysis capabilities of digital platforms plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
This conference goes beyond technical presentations to include sessions for sharing best practices from the field and networking. Through this, H Energy plans to integrate safety managers not merely as platform users but as key collaborators within the operational ecosystem, and to strengthen the feedback structure between field operations and technology development.
According to H Energy, SolarOnCare manages approximately 5,000 power plants nationwide as of 2025. The company has set a goal to expand the number of power plants it manages to 10,000 and its total installed capacity to over 1 GW by the end of this year. Amid the growing trend of distributed power sources, this event is expected to serve as an example demonstrating how on-site management systems and digital-based operational models can be combined.

에이치에너지가 운영하는 태양광 원격 운영·관리 플랫폼 ‘솔라온케어’가 2025년 기준 누적 운영·관리 발전소 5000개를 돌파했다. 전국 19개 지역에 분산된 발전소를 하나의 플랫폼으로 통합해 가상발전소(VPP) 형태로 운영하며, 발전량 예측과 관제·제어를 일원화한 것이 특징이다. 국내 전력시장이 실시간 입찰 체계 도입을 준비하는 가운데, 발전량 예측 오차에 따른 임밸런스 페널티 부담이 확대될 가능성이 제기된다. 솔라온케어는 자체 AI 기반 예측 모델과 실시간 관제 시스템을 통해 예측 오차와 설비 이상에 따른 수익 변동 리스크를 관리하는 구조를 갖췄다. 회사는 준중앙급전 제도 시행을 계기로 플랫폼 완성도를 높이며 VPP 시장 대응 역량을 강화한다는 방침이다.

H Energy Recruits "Our Neighborhood Riders" to Unearth Idle Rooftops
H.Energy, a renewable energy platform company, is recruiting sales partners called "Our Neighborhood Riders" to identify and connect idle rooftops of factories, warehouses, livestock facilities, and other structures suitable for solar power plant installation. According to the company, participants will locate rooftops of 60 pyeong or larger, introduce SolarShare to building owners, and the platform operator will handle all procedures from contract negotiations through permitting, construction, and completion. Upon contract closure, incentives are provided based on installed capacity, and separate benefits have been offered to enable local electrical contractors (construction companies) to participate as well.

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
