NVIDIA held a separate technical event for Korean companies and developers at GTC 2026 and explained the recent trend of expanding beyond Generative AI to Agentic AI and Physical AI from the perspective of domestic industry application. The focus of this event was on interpreting the key messages unveiled at GTC to suit the manufacturing, mobility, and development environments of the Korean market.

NVIDIA announced in a press release on the 27th that it held the 'Korea AI Expert Day' at GTC 2026 on the 18th (local time). At the event, AI strategies and case studies applicable to Korean industrial sites were shared, based on the key technology directions presented at GTC 2026.

According to the press release, approximately 300 domestic AI industry stakeholders and developers attended the event. The session featured presentations that summarized GTC announcements to suit the domestic corporate environment, along with the strategic significance of the Korean market; semiconductor process optimization, AI infrastructure construction, and challenges in the practical implementation process were also addressed.

The agendas that attracted particular attention at this event were Agentic AI and Physical AI. Agentic AI refers to AI that performs tasks by combining planning, reasoning, and tool utilization, going beyond simple responses, while Physical AI refers to the overall technology that enables robots and autonomous systems to perceive and move within the real world. The main topic of discussion at the event was how these technologies can be connected to strengthening the competitiveness of the manufacturing and mobility industries.

During the panel discussion and Q&A, field-oriented questions continued regarding AI model development, GPU infrastructure setup, actual implementation costs, and operational issues. In a roadside talk featuring Hyundai Motor officials, examples of integrating AI and simulation into the automotive design and manufacturing processes were shared, and discussions were held on how technology is actually applied in industrial settings.

NVIDIA assessed that this event served as a channel connecting global technology announcements with the Korean industrial ecosystem. The company stated that it plans to support the expanded use of AI by domestic developers and companies through follow-up initiatives, such as the Nemotron developer program introduced at the end of the event.
