AI semiconductor company Furiosa AI is accelerating its strategy to expand into the global market.


Furiosa AI recently announced that it has hired Charlie Foo, who has led AI infrastructure businesses at NVIDIA and Mellanox for a long time, as a senior advisor.

This is interpreted as a measure to strengthen the expansion of the global ecosystem as the company actively pursues the overseas commercialization of its AI chip, 'RNGD (Renegade)'.

Charlie Poo has built expertise in enterprise infrastructure construction and accelerated computing while working for over 35 years at major global technology companies such as IBM, Brocade, Mellanox, and Nvidia.

Notably, at Mellanox, he served as the head of the Asia-Pacific and Japan regions, and at NVIDIA, he expanded market influence by leading the expansion of the enterprise customer and partner network.

Furiosa AI has recently established a foothold in the European market through the establishment of a subsidiary in Portugal, and is strengthening its competitiveness in the global AI infrastructure market by recruiting world-class talent. The company has determined that it has entered a full-scale growth phase following the establishment of an RNGD mass production system, and has adopted the expansion of overseas partnerships and the growth of its customer base as its core strategies.

Charlie Poo, who has joined as a Senior Advisor, will support FuriosaAI's overall global business strategy. He is set to provide advice in areas directly related to global commercialization, such as strategic partnerships with overseas companies, securing enterprise clients, and building an AI infrastructure ecosystem. Poo stated, "The next competitive edge in the AI industry depends not only on model performance but also on the ability to deploy them efficiently on a large scale," adding, "FuriosaAI is a rare company that possesses both a unique architecture and mass production capabilities, and it has great potential for rapid growth in the global market."
