H Energy's renewable energy investment platform, Mohat, is embarking on the establishment of a decentralized energy structure by simultaneously expanding solar power sites and diversifying power supply methods. The core of the initiative involves moving beyond existing rooftop-centric projects to broaden the scope of utilization to include parking lots and idle land, and introducing a structure where demand companies directly use the generated electricity.

This plan took shape when the relevant agenda was approved at the General Assembly of Delegates of the Sunshine Green Cooperative, held on March 14 at the KTX Conference Room in Seoul Station. The cooperative is the largest organization formed based on the MoHat platform and will play a central role in future business expansion.

In the solar power business, securing installation sites is considered a key factor determining the speed of expansion. Mohat has chosen a strategy to expand its business scope to new locations based on its accumulated experience operating rooftop power plants. The company plans to apply the management capabilities acquired from operating 2,452 rooftop power plants nationwide to parking lot superstructures and idle land.

The business goal is to achieve a cumulative power generation capacity of 220 MW by the end of 2026. To this end, facilities with a monthly average capacity of approximately 9.3 MW will be constructed in stages. This process is intended to expand cooperative participation, strengthen the foundation for local power generation, and increase operational efficiency by securing a scale above a certain level.

Changes in power supply methods are also expected. Mohat is promoting a structure that introduces an on-site PPA model for companies required to implement RE100, enabling electricity generated at power plants to be consumed directly within the same building or adjacent facilities. This is interpreted as a measure to reduce dependence on external power purchases and enhance the traceability of power usage.

Business performance is also showing an expanding trend. As of 2025, the number of members in the Haetsal Green Cooperative reached 11,013, a significant increase from the previous year, and investment also surpassed the 250 billion won mark. The number of operating power plants increased to 966 with a total capacity of 109 MW, and both power generation revenue and output recorded double-digit growth rates compared to the previous year.

H Energy plans to establish a structure where power production and consumption take place in the same region by combining distributed power generation resources with a direct supply model. This aligns with the market trend of moving away from centralized power generation and transitioning to a regionally based energy utilization system.
