Catenoid and Open Source Consulting are targeting the broadcasting and media market with an integrated solution that combines AI-based media asset management with cloud infrastructure. The two companies provide an end-to-end service that links content management and infrastructure operations into a single system.

This collaboration was announced on the 30th. Both companies noted the need for a structure capable of integrated management of the entire process, from content collection and storage to search, analysis, and operation, in an environment where the creation and distribution of digital content are rapidly increasing.

Open Source Consulting has secured numerous references in the enterprise infrastructure market based on its experience building private clouds based on OpenStack and Kubernetes. Catenoid provides an AI media asset management platform based on video-centric Video as a Service (VTaaS).

The two companies combine Catenoid's media asset management platform 'RoomX' with Open Source Consulting's cloud platform 'Place Cloud' and middleware management solution 'Place WasUp' to form an integrated package. This allows client companies to reduce the operational complexity that arises from introducing separate systems.

The integrated solution includes features that use AI to analyze various media assets, such as videos, images, and documents, to automatically generate metadata and enhance search efficiency. It also provides infrastructure management capabilities to ensure the stable operation of large-scale content in a cloud environment.

Open Source Consulting explained that the importance of asset management systems is growing due to the increase in media data and the proliferation of generative AI. Catenoid also stated that it views improving content usability and operational efficiency as key challenges and plans to address them through collaboration between the two companies.
