With increasing interest in indoor air quality management and energy efficiency leading to a rise in demand for measuring equipment for HVAC systems, Testo Korea has introduced an anemometer specialized for ventilation system measurements. The focus is on enhancing on-site operational efficiency through various measurement functions and mobile connectivity.

Testo Korea introduced the compact anemometer 'testo 417' to the domestic market on the 28th and revealed its features. The company announced that it exhibited the product at the 'HVAC Korea 2026' exhibition recently held at COEX in Seoul.

Testo Korea operated a booth at this exhibition focusing on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Quality) measuring equipment. An experience zone was set up on-site where visitors could directly check anemometers, illuminance meters, and thermo-hygrometers.

In particular, 'testo 417' was introduced as an air conditioning equipment inspection device and attracted attention, mainly from field engineers and facility managers. In the experience zone, tests simulating actual measurement environments were conducted.

The 'testo 417' is an anemometer designed with a structure that integrates a 100mm vane-type sensor into the main body. This allows for the simultaneous measurement of wind speed, airflow, and temperature in vents and intake/exhaust devices.

The product is described as being used for checking the airflow balance of HVAC systems. In addition, it supports compatibility with dedicated funnels and rectifiers to enable measurements even in complex airflow environments such as diffusers.

When using a funnel, the airflow can be collected consistently to increase measurement accuracy, and the measurement results are structured so that the intake and exhaust directions are distinguished and displayed.

Testo Korea also emphasized the product's mobile connectivity features. Measurement data can be viewed by connecting to the 'testo smart app' via Bluetooth.

Users can check measurement values remotely via smartphones or tablets, and the app is configured to allow for the calculation of averages and the generation of reports. A key feature highlighted is the ability to organize results on-site and share them immediately.

The company also explained that the main unit was designed to be usable with one hand, taking into account portability and ease of operation.

"A Testo Korea official stated, 'The role of measuring equipment in HVAC system operation and indoor environment management is growing,' adding, 'We have configured our products to support data verification and management efficiency during on-site work processes.'"
