SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won attended 'GTC Taipei 2026' in Taiwan and reviewed the direction of AI infrastructure cooperation with Nvidia.

According to SK Group, Chairman Chey attended NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's keynote speech at GTC Taipei 2026, which opened in Taiwan on the 1st (local time). SK Hynix President and CEO Kwak No-jung also attended the event.

In his keynote speech, CEO Huang introduced the future direction of GPU-based accelerated computing and the mass production roadmap for the next-generation AI platform, 'Vera Rubin.' He also explained the current status of collaborations in key fields, including autonomous driving, industrial robots, AI factories, and open-source AI models.

SK Group announced that Chairman Chey confirmed SK Hynix's role amidst changes in the AI ecosystem and its next-generation memory technology strategy at the event. In particular, the company plans to strengthen cooperation with major clients, focusing on High Bandwidth Memory (HBM).

Chairman Choi and CEO Hwang have discussed plans for AI infrastructure cooperation several times this year. Following their meeting in Silicon Valley, USA last February, the two sides also met at GTC 2026 held in San Jose, USA in March.

SK Hynix plans to expand the development of next-generation memory technologies, including customer-tailored HBM (cHBM), HBF (High Bandwidth Flash), and 3D stacked DRAM. Through this, the company aims to meet the demand for improved data processing speed and power efficiency required in AI computing environments.
