SK Telecom has expanded its capabilities in Industrial AI Transformation (AX) by adding SK AX and Technomatrix as new participants to the government-led Independent AI Foundation Model (Dokpamo) project consortium. It is reported that the expansion of participating companies will strengthen the consortium's B2B demonstration scope and its ability to optimize manufacturing site operations.

SK Telecom announced on the 14th that SK AX and Technomatrix have newly joined the SKT elite team.

SK AX is responsible for identifying B2B AX cases, promoting demonstrations, and establishing a system for industrial expansion targeting various industries such as manufacturing, telecommunications, semiconductors, finance, and the public sector.

The company explained that it supports improved work productivity, report generation, and agent builders based on the AX model sharing and utilization system.

Technometics is a company specializing in AI, machine learning, and foundation model operating systems (AI/ML/FM-Ops), and possesses experience in modeling and operational optimization in the manufacturing, finance, and IT sectors.

SKT’s elite team operates internal consortium cooperation by dividing it into four tracks: models and infrastructure, preliminary research, data, and service diffusion.

Through this, the plan is to organically connect model development, data construction, utilization of domestic AI semiconductors, service demonstration, academic research, and industrial application.

The elite team built the proprietary foundation model AX K2 for the second stage evaluation.

AX K2 was designed with openness and efficiency for industrial expansion, along with agentic capabilities, it was announced.

SKT’s elite team is expanding the everyday AI experience through key services such as A.dot, A.dot Biz, and T Map, and plans to develop it into a lifestyle-oriented agent capable of information search, schedule coordination, and integration with public services in the future.

In the industrial sector, KG Steel's AI agent for steel manufacturing sites, and Konex's casting and processing processes We are applying the model to quality improvement.

In addition, the development of defense-specialized models is also being carried out in parallel.

FortyTwoDot is driving expansion into the mobility and on-device sectors, while Liner is responsible for building high-quality structured learning data and gathering user feedback.
