Chaenam and e4ds to Host Engineering Tool Festival "I am Engineer"…Sharing Practical Strategies for AI Era

Chaenam and e4ds are preparing a practice-oriented technical event for engineers in the artificial intelligence (AI) era. It is an event where hardware (HW) and software (SW) engineers can directly experience AI-based development tools and workflows.
Chaenam and e4ds announced that they will host the engineering tool-focused festival "I am Engineer (IamEngineer)" at Seoul COEX on November 19th.
This event focuses on sharing practical tools and methodologies applicable to operations in an environment where AI is spreading throughout engineering including development, design, verification, testing, and operations.
The organizers emphasized that this event is for "engineers working with AI" rather than "engineers creating AI."
AMETEK, a precision measurement and industrial technology company, is participating as a diamond sponsor.
The organizers explained that the program is structured to allow participants to directly experience and compare various technologies including AI coding assistant tools and agents, evaluation tools, security reviews, and deployment workflows.
Additionally, expert lectures, master classes, and hands-on sessions led by specialists with actual system implementation experience will share practical application cases.
The program consists of keynotes, three tracks, exhibition booths, and hands-on sessions.
Track A covers hardware fields including embedded systems, circuit design, PCB, and model-based design. Key topics include AI copilot-based firmware development, natural language-based circuit design, and PCB automatic design and verification technologies.
Track B focuses on industrial automation and smart factory fields. Generative AI use cases, digital twins, and industrial AI workflows will be introduced.
Track C addresses topics from organizational and talent perspectives for engineers. Discussions will cover role changes for engineers in the AI era, organizational management strategies, and AI coding utilization methods.

Samsung Electronics Establishes Domestic Production of EHS Heat Pump Boilers in Gwangju…Annual Production Capacity of 100,000 Units
Samsung Electronics is establishing a domestic production system for EHS heat pump boilers at its Gwangju business site in line with the promotion of heating electrification. The company will begin trial production this month on a dedicated line spanning 2,132㎡ and is scheduled to commence full-scale mass production by the end of September, with annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 units. This product generates approximately 5 times the heat relative to input power, recording a seasonal performance coefficient of 4.9, and offers higher energy efficiency compared to fossil fuel-based boilers while reducing carbon emissions.

Korea Institute of Materials Science Develops Carbon Nanotube Film Enabling Simultaneous Electromagnetic Shielding and Infrared Stealth
The Korea Institute of Materials Science has developed a carbon nanotube hybrid film that simultaneously implements electromagnetic shielding and infrared stealth functions. [Interview] Park Ji-yong, Branch Manager of Nozomi Networks, "Korea entering full-scale OT security adoption phase"
The domestic OT security market has seen significantly heightened awareness centered on large enterprises, and POC demand is also increasing. In particular, OT security diagnostics are essential for enterprises to identify vulnerabilities without productivity degradation, and demand is growing across hospitals, pharmaceuticals, power generation, and manufacturing sectors.
