SKT and Seoul National University Launch AI Industry-Academia Collaboration Course...Starting with CEO Direct Lecture

SK Telecom (SKT) is opening AI industry-academia collaboration courses for the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at Seoul National University's graduate school, with current AI experts including CEO Jeong Jae-heon taking the podium directly. The course starts September 1st and continues for 15 weeks, with curriculum composed of three areas: △AI apps and services △AI modeling △AI infrastructure.CEO Jeong plans to present on the theme 'Choices and Opportunities in the AI Era,' discussing changes AI technology brings to industries and society and SKT's AI direction to approximately 300 graduate and undergraduate students at Seoul National University.
Subsequent lectures will be conducted in relay format by executives, team leaders, and doctorate-level members of AI development organizations including Yoo Kyung-sang, AI CIC Director, and Kim Tae-yoon, Foundation Model Lead.
SKT announced that over the past 10 years it has jointly operated lectures with multiple domestic universities including Seoul National University and run practical AI research programs for university students and graduate students.
SKT stated it is continuing industry-academia collaboration based on the judgment that AI talent development is directly linked to the company's sustainable growth.

SK Telecom is establishing 'SK Hyper,' a dedicated corporation for AI data center operations, and will invest 750 billion won through 2030. Under a mid-to-long-term plan to build a total of 15GW-scale AI data center by 2035, the company will create regional clusters in Ulsan, Chungcheong, and the Southwestern region, taking full responsibility from site acquisition to substation operations. To consolidate group capabilities, SK Telecom is establishing an 'AI Data Center Integrated Promotion Unit' directly under the CEO to accelerate the construction of an Asia AI infrastructure hub.

SKT Hosts AI Prompt Contest… Expanding Customer-Participatory Campaigns
SK Telecom is holding the "Prompts for All" contest to share AI utilization experiences. It improves performance by 32% compared to its predecessor and enhances long-context processing capabilities by applying independently developed SGA architecture. SKT Expands Air Plan and T Membership Benefits for August and September
SK Telecom is significantly expanding its Air rate plan and T Membership benefits for the months of August and September. For new Air subscribers, it will provide points at approximately 70% of the monthly subscription fee for up to 12 months, and will waive eSIM issuance fees. T Membership will offer various brand discounts weekly, increase CGV movie discounts for young adults from once to twice per month, and add overseas travel discounts.
