Samsung Donates 3 Billion Won for Gyeongbuk-Gyeongnam Flood Recovery

Affiliated companies participating in the donation are △Samsung Electronics △Samsung C&T △Samsung Life Insurance △Samsung Display △Samsung SDI △Samsung Electro-Mechanics △Samsung SDS △Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance △Samsung Heavy Industries.
Samsung Heavy Industries participated in supporting the local community despite suffering some damage to its own facilities from this heavy rainfall.
Relief supply sets consist of essential living items including blankets, sportswear, towels, and toiletries.
Samsung has been depositing disaster relief-related donations to the Korean Red Cross every year since 2005.
Credit card payment amounts charged in August to October of this year can be deferred for up to six months, and payment amounts can be divided into interest-free installments over six months.
Card loan interest will be reduced by up to 30%, and long-term card loans with maturity within October will be refinanced, the company announced.
During heavy rainfall damage in Gyeongnam and Chungnam in July 2025, the company donated 3 billion won, and during wildfires in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan in March of the same year, it provided 3 billion won in cash and home appliances worth 1 billion won.
In 2023, the company also deposited 3 billion won each to areas damaged by heavy rainfall in Chungcheong and Gyeongsang provinces and wildfires in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk.
Samsung announced that since 1995, the cumulative amount donated for domestic disaster and disaster recovery has exceeded 130 billion won.
Overseas, the company provided electronic products worth 1 million dollars during the 2025 LA wildfires in the United States, and provided a total of 3 million dollars in cash and relief supplies during the 2023 Turkey earthquake.

Samsung Electronics and NTT DOCOMO Successfully Verify AI-RAN Based Communication Quality Optimization Technology
Samsung Electronics and NTT DOCOMO have jointly developed and completed verification of AI-based Radio Access Network (AI-RAN) communication quality optimization technology. This technology works by having AI analyze individual users' movement patterns and real-time wireless network conditions to predict quality degradation in advance and automatically apply optimal network settings for each user. In commercial network simulations conducted in Japan, the frequency of transmission speed degradation decreased from 13.1% to 7.2%, and both companies continue to develop 6G technology through 3GPP standardization cooperation.

Samsung Electronics has completed an HVAC production facility in Pune, India and is ramping up its response to the AI data center cooling market. Built through collaboration with Flakt Group, this facility has an annual production capacity of 6,500 units and manufactures various air conditioning equipment including AHUs, FWUs, and CRAHs. Samsung Electronics Establishes Plextek Group HVAC Production Line in Gwangju…240 Billion Won Investment
