Differentiated service speeds can be provided through NBASE-T technology



Aquantia, a supplier of high-speed Ethernet solutions, announced that SK Telesys, a leading telecommunications equipment manufacturer in Korea, has adopted Aquantia's technology for the development of Gigabit Ethernet access equipment based on existing UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable infrastructure.

SK Telesys announced that by utilizing Aquantia's innovative technology, it is now able to provide transmission speeds more than twice as high as currently available solutions without the need for new installation of existing UTP cable infrastructure.

Earlier this year, Aquantia and SK Telesys signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in strengthening SK Telesys' competitiveness in the telecommunications industry and providing customers with more stable and differentiated Ethernet technology.

The MOU signing ceremony was held at the SK Telesis headquarters, attended by SK Telesis CEO Ahn Seung-yoon, Aquantia President and CEO Faraj Aalaei, and Head of Asia Sales Nick Shamlow. Vice President Shamlou attended.

Based on this MOU agreement, SK Telesis and Aquantia are collaborating on the development of SK Telesis's next-generation in-home access equipment.
