Construction of a "corporate LTE" integrated with the Pohang and Gwangyang Steelworks Seoul Centers has been completed.

KT has completed the construction of "POSCO-LTE," a "corporate LTE" network that integrates the Pohang and Gwangyang Steelworks Seoul Centers.

KT announced on the 5th that it has completed the launch of 'POSCO-LTE' (hereinafter referred to as P-LTE), a corporate LTE-based service that integrates the Pohang Steel Works, Gwangyang Steel Works, and Seoul Center in cooperation with POSCO (Chairman Kwon Oh-joon).

Built on KT's enterprise-specific LTE, P-LTE's key feature is its use of a wireless network isolated from external public networks. This not only meets POSCO's stringent security regulations, a Class A nationally important facility, but also allows for ultra-high-speed access to business data.

Additionally, the difference from existing networks is that KT has built a P-LTE wireless network that can quickly exchange all types of data, including voice, Wi-Fi, and radio, by utilizing its technological capabilities. In particular, it was built with a dual structure that integrated the wireless networks of both steel mills, so that even if a failure occurs in one network, access is possible from other regions.

A P-LTE network was deployed at a steel mill ten times the size of Yeouido, enabling high-speed data transmission anywhere, from aboveground to underground culverts. This completely eliminated wireless network dead zones, enabling emergency communications in any work area in the event of an emergency, thereby enhancing work safety.
