Focus on achieving innovation through AoT (Analytics of Things)

Teradata Korea (CEO Seung-cheol Choi) announced on the 19th that it is achieving remarkable results by operating a 'Global IoT Analytics Team' dedicated to IoT analysis at its headquarters.

Based in the U.S., U.S., and India, and operating under Teradata Labs, this team consists of data scientists, data engineers, and software architects, and is developing new cloud-based analytics solutions and services to simplify database management, data movement, and advanced analytics for IoT.



First, there is the functional expansion of Teradata Aster Analytics. This feature, which identifies the root cause of problems through IoT data, includes new IoT data preparation capabilities and machine learning techniques to rapidly detect and identify patterns in machine behavior, resulting in risk mitigation, reduced maintenance costs, minimized downtime, and increased productivity.

In addition, it facilitates seamless porting so that machine learning models can operate in any Java-based environment, and provides the Teradata Aster Scoring SDK (Software Development Kit) to enable analysts to easily deploy Aster IoT analytic models on any IoT edge servers, public cloud, or data center.

Secondly, it enhances the Teradata Listener to support the rapid collection and deployment of IoT data streams. Teradata is expanding IoT capabilities for the Teradata Listener with connectors that support the easy acquisition and deployment of streaming sensor data for analysis. Capturing and managing continuous streams of data is a highly complex and labor-intensive task.

Third, system management and DevOps applied machine learning and advanced analytics techniques to enable the resolution of complex performance and workload congestion issues within seconds. We provide various customer solutions, including early warning detection utilizing predictive analytics, continuous asset monitoring, and real-time monitoring and analysis of physical assets by understanding the situation based on diverse real-time insights.

These new technologies and services from Teradata will be available in the second quarter of 2016.
