DTS, 3D Sound Technology Added to Video Player 'nPlayer'
Published2016.05.03 10:57DTS, a company specializing in HD audio technology and solutions, announced that it has added DTS Headphone:X™, a surround sound technology, to its mobile video player app, nPlayer.
Newin Inc. provides DTS Headphone:X technology to its nPlayer service, allowing users to experience 5.1 or 7.1 channel virtual surround sound. When using the DTS Headphone:X function in nPlayer, users can set the ear bud and over-ear types depending on the headphone type, and can also use the equalizer (EQ) function that allows for customized sound settings. DTS Headphone:X is available on nPlayer for iOS.
DTS Headphone:X technology, an immersive surround sound technology for headphones, allows you to experience up to 11.1 channel surround sound using headphones that can only produce 2-channel sound due to their physical characteristics, as well as 3D surround sound that makes it seem as if the sound is coming from the actual direction of objects, such as the ceiling, depending on the movement of objects.
Yoo Je-yong, CEO of DTS Korea, said, “With this Headphone:X technology support, we expect that more users will be able to enjoy a variety of entertainment with high-quality sound on mobile devices.”
