Samsung Electronics Expands Supply of Mirrors for 55-Inch 'Mirror Displays'

Samsung Electronics unveiled its 'Mirror Display' product, a futuristic mirror, for the first time.

Samsung Electronics has installed its 'Mirror Display' product for the first time at Lee Ga Ja Hairbis, located in the Wellness Center of Lotte Department Store Jamsil. Lee Ga Ja Hairbis is a hair salon franchise that is expanding the distinctive excellence of Korean beauty globally, not only in Korea but also in the United States, Australia, China, and other parts of the world.

Samsung Electronics has created a 55-inch 'Mirror Display' that functions as a mirror and has set up a 'Smart Zone' where customers of Lee Ga Ja Hairbis can obtain various latest trend information on beauty and hair care in addition to using it as a mirror.


In addition, personalized hair consulting utilizing the 'Mirror Display' has become possible. Although Samsung Electronics' 'Mirror Display' is a display product, it offers the functionality of a standard mirror; therefore, its advantage lies in the fact that it can be installed in locations where a mirror is needed, enabling various multimedia services in addition to its mirroring function.

In particular, if installed as a replacement for mirrors in places where mirrors are essential, such as hair salons, it can provide differentiated service to customers by displaying necessary information while simultaneously serving as a mirror.

Lee Woo-chan, Executive Director of Lee Gaja Hairbis, stated, “By installing Samsung Electronics’ ‘Mirror Display,’ we have become able to provide customized premium consulting services to customers more conveniently.” He added, “We plan to actively consider expanding the ‘Mirror Display’ product, which enables effective information delivery alongside mirror functions and thereby allows for premium services simultaneously, to stores not only in Korea but also worldwide.”

Kim Seok-ki, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, stated, “The ‘Mirror Display’ is an innovative product that simultaneously provides mirror and smart signage functions in places such as hair salons and clothing stores,” adding, “We plan to lead changes in future lifestyles by introducing new products suitable for future stores and shopping environments, including the ‘Mirror Display.’”

Samsung Electronics plans to launch the 'mirror display' product it installed this time in earnest starting in the third quarter.
