Service cooperation based on the Internet of Things (LTE-M)

KT (Chairman Hwang Chang-gyu) and Kiturami (CEO Lee Jong-gi) announced on the 23rd that they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for IoT business at the KT Gwanghwamun Building East and will proceed with service cooperation based on the Internet of Things (LTE-M).

Through this MOU, Kiturami plans to expand the scope of its IoT services, currently applied only to home boilers, to a diverse range of product categories by leveraging KT's nationwide LTE-M network service and IoT platform, IoTMakers, to provide integrated product control and customer-friendly services.

KT plans to provide its IoT platform, IoTMakers, to enable integrated control of all products sold by Kiturami, as well as supply communication modules and cooperate in the development of various devices. In addition, they will actively cooperate to develop new business models through the joint fostering of the Internet of Things ecosystem.

Kim Jun-geun, Head of KT GiGA IoT Business Unit, stated, “The MOU with Kiturami serves as a signal that business operations via LTE-M have officially begun,” adding, “We will develop various business models together with our partners to lead the IoT era transforming into the Internet of Small Things.”
