Announcement of the 2015 Corporate Citizenship Report

TI (CEO Kent Tran) announced that it has released its 2015 Annual Corporate Citizenship Report. This annual report, the tenth to be published, describes the social and environmental achievements TI made during the year 2015.

In the introductory remarks to this report, Rich Templeton, Chairman, President, and CEO of TI, stated, “Building a better future has been a core driving force for TI since the company was founded 85 years ago.” “Over the years, TI has joined forces with its employees, customers, partners, and communities to develop better products, continuously advance the company, foster new innovations, and make the place where we live and work a better place,” he said.

In 2015, TI achieved results such as reducing annual water usage by 12%, sourcing 100% of the metals used in integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing from certified "conflict-free" regions, ensuring that 99.9% of employees received compliance training, including annual training on the code of conduct and core values, achieving the best and most exemplary safety performance in the company's history and across the industry, increasing global volunteer activities by 40%, and increasing charitable funds and employee contributions to $33 million, with two-thirds of this invested in education.


Since publishing its first Corporate Citizenship Report, TI has continued its history of innovation over the past decade by investing $17.1 billion in R&D and securing more than 13,000 patents. TI achieved unprecedented efficiency by transitioning its manufacturing processes from 200mm to 300mm wafer technology. Furthermore, through the implementation of resource conservation projects, it has saved a cumulative 7.7 billion gallons of water and 11.1 million MMBtu of energy, and has invested over $250 million in education, focusing on support for students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
