Linear Launches μModule for Defense, Aerospace, and Heavy Equipment Industries
Published2016.06.16 19:59Linear Technology Korea (CEO Hong Sa-kwak) announced that it has launched more than 53 µModule® (micromodule) products mounted in SnPb BGA packages.
These products are suitable for applications that prefer the use of tin-lead soldering, such as the defense, aerospace, and heavy equipment industries. The µModule point-of-load (PoL) regulator using SnPb BGA packages enables industrial suppliers to simplify PC board assembly.
µModule power products with SnPb BGA packages are available in four DC/DC converter categories:
More than 100 µModule products are available at www.linear.com/umodule in the lead-free (SAC305) version of this device and in both BGA and LGA packages.

Linear Launches Synchronous Step-Down Regulator Operating at Up to 175°C
Linear Technology Korea (CEO Hong Sa-gwak) announced the launch of a synchronous step-down switching regulator (product name: LT8610AX) with 42V input and 3.5A output. The device operates even at ambient temperatures up to 175°C. Synchronous rectification delivers high efficiency at 95%, while Burst Mode® operation maintains standby current at 3.5μA or less under no-load idle conditions. The product's 3.7V ~ 42V input voltage range makes it ideal for high-temperature applications such as down-hole drilling equipment where the power source falls within the 5V ~ 40V range.
