Konus Launches New IOTab Product
Easy installation for anyone, preserves existing interior

Konus Co., Ltd., a company specializing in IoT wireless power saving systems, launched a sensor-based smart plug product called 'IoTap' on the 22nd.

IO-Tab is a system that controls standby power that is unnecessarily wasted even when electronic devices are turned off. It works by installing it at entrances, such as front doors, to detect people entering or exiting, or installing it in interior spaces, such as living rooms, to detect occupancy, thereby allowing the wireless power strip to supply or cut off power accordingly.

Unlike existing products, this new product enables automatic control simply by installation, making it easy for children and the elderly who have difficulty operating devices such as smartphones to use. Furthermore, all components have been made wireless, and the design features a simple attachment format, making the installation process convenient while minimizing damage to the interior.

Park Chang-sik, CEO of Konus, stated, "The new product, IOTep, will alleviate the burden of electricity bills for users during the summer months when power consumption increases, and will also contribute to preventing accidents such as fires caused by the increased use of electronic devices."
