'BeoPlay A1' Launched, Emits 360-Degree Sound with Maximum Output of 280W from Speaker Cover
'True Wireless' feature that connects two 'Beoplay A1's to play a single song in stereo

Home entertainment brand Bang & Olufsen (B&O) announced on the 28th that it has launched the 'BeoPlay A1,' the smallest portable Bluetooth speaker among its products.

The primary target audience for the 'Beoplay A1' is those with an adventurous lifestyle who enjoy music not only indoors but also during outdoor activities such as camping, travel, and leisure. Designed by Danish industrial designer Cecilie Manz, it delivers consistent sound in a 360-degree direction through its elegant dome-shaped speaker cover. It comes in two colors, Moss Green and Natural, and is priced at 360,000 won.

The new product's cover is made of highly durable anodized aluminum, making it resistant to everyday impacts, while a soft polymer cover harmonizes with the other side. A leather strap is included to make it easy to hang from objects or carry both indoors and outdoors. Control buttons for power, volume, Bluetooth connection, and calls are neatly arranged along the bezel, and it boasts a sleek design with not a single protruding part.



The Beoplay A1 is only 13.3 cm wide, 4.8 cm high, and weighs 600 g, but it delivers a total maximum output of 280 W that exceeds its size. It is equipped with a mid-range woofer (3.5 inches) and a tweeter (3/4 inch), and utilizes two 30 W Class D amplifiers to produce loud and clear sound.

It also offers a 'True Wireless' feature that allows you to wirelessly connect the same Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker models to play music through a single player. For example, if you connect two 'Beoplay A1' speakers via Bluetooth and control them with a single smartphone, you can enjoy the same music in stereo sound from both speakers.

In addition, it can be used as a speakerphone during calls using the built-in microphone, and offers water and dust resistance. Pressing the circular connection button next to the speaker reconnects to the most recently connected smart device and plays the last song the user listened to.
