Samsung Electronics Launches Mobile Payment Service 'Samsung Pay' in Brazil

Samsung Electronics will launch 'Samsung Pay,' a mobile payment service featuring ease of use and strong security, in Brazil on the 19th (local time), marking its first launch in South America.
Samsung Pay, first introduced in Korea last August, launched its official service in the U.S. in September, followed by China in March of this year, and Spain, Singapore, and Australia in June.
The service also launched in Puerto Rico on the 12th.
Samsung Electronics has established partnerships with major financial institutions in Brazil, including Banco do Brasil, Brasil Pré-Pagos, Caixa, Porto Seguro, and Santander, and is preparing to cooperate with Banrisul, Bradesco, Nubank, and Itaú-Unibanco.
Samsung Pay collaborates with over 200 major banks worldwide and major card companies such as American Express, UnionPay, Mastercard, and Visa, and announced a partnership with Alipay in China last May.
