New IS206X SoC device family applied to high-end headsets, speakers, soundbars, etc.

Microchip Technology (Korea Representative: Han Byung-don) announced the launch of its next-generation dual-mode Bluetooth audio product line.

The IS206X family, featuring Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) capabilities, is based on Microchip's highly integrated system-on-chip (SoC) device and module, the IS202X. Designed for speakers, headsets, and gaming headphones, this flash-based platform offers exceptional flexibility and powerful features, enabling audio equipment manufacturers to easily integrate wireless connectivity into streaming music and voice command applications.

The high-performance 32-bit digital signal processing (DSP) core provides a framework for developing sophisticated algorithms for advanced audio and voice processing. Additionally, 24-bit digital audio delivers high-resolution sound quality, offering customers a richer listening experience. For sound systems consisting of multiple Bluetooth speakers, tightly synchronized audio playback between speakers is possible by utilizing audio streaming with extremely low latency.

In applications such as professional headsets, high-quality voice can be implemented, and in this case, 16kHz wideband voice can be robustly implemented using noise suppression and echo cancellation functions. In addition, firmware updates are available, allowing you to update the product software and settings in the future.

The IS206X product family is Bluetooth v4.2 certified and supports Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) links and standard audio profiles. Based on a powerful combination of BLE and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), communication between smartphones and speakers is possible via mobile apps. Furthermore, customized apps provide creative control functions such as pairing, remote control, and real-time audio effect adjustment, significantly enriching the consumer's listening experience.

The IS206X product family consists of a diverse range of products, allowing customers to select the appropriate product based on their wireless product needs. Additionally, customers requiring turnkey solutions to accelerate time-to-market can leverage the powerful features of the products by selecting module configurations featuring Class 1 or Class 2 devices. All modules fully meet the standards of regulatory bodies in the United States (FCC), Canada (IC), the European Economic Area (CE), Korea (KCC), Taiwan (NCC), and Japan (MIC).
