Targeting the wireless audio market by emphasizing convenience
High-quality sound projected in all 360 directions and deep mid-bass

LG Electronics is actively targeting the wireless audio market by introducing four Bluetooth speakers that can be conveniently used both indoors and outdoors.

The new products (model names: PH2, PH4) are made of a material that is water-resistant even when wet with sweat or rain. They are also convenient as they feature straps that allow them to be attached to backpacks, bicycles, tents, clothing, etc. In particular, the ultra-lightweight model (model name: PH2) weighs only 167g, which is comparable to a smartphone, making it highly portable.

Rich sound quality is also a strong point. The new product delivers high-quality sound in all 360 degrees, providing an excellent experience not only indoors but also outdoors, such as at campsites where many people gather. In particular, the high-end model (model name: PH4) features two passive radiators to produce mid-low frequencies, delivering deep sound.

The output of this product is up to 16 watts (W), and it plays music for up to 10 hours when fully charged.

LG Electronics also unveiled a new product (model name: PH3) that offers an interior design effect with its simple design. This product features a soft, curved shape reminiscent of a candle flame, with a translucent material applied to the top. It creates a soft atmosphere through modes such as "Candle Mode," where the LED light shines like a candle, and "Healing Mode," where the light color changes slowly. It can be used for up to 10 hours on a full charge.

There is also a product with a sophisticated design featuring a cylindrical shape and transparent material (model name: PH1). Inside the transparent case, a bracelet-shaped LED light changes color to white, green, red, and other shades, creating a calm atmosphere.

LG Electronics plans to unveil its new Bluetooth speaker for the first time at the IFA 2016 exhibition in Berlin, Germany, early next month, and launch it sequentially in global markets, starting with Europe around October, followed by North America and Asia.

Kwon Bong-seok, Executive Vice President and Head of LG Electronics’ Home Entertainment Business Division, emphasized, “We will continue to lead the global audio market with our new Bluetooth speaker products that can be conveniently used both indoors and outdoors.”
