BeoSound 2 Launched? Targeting Newlyweds and Self-Interior Designers

Bang & Olufsen announced on the 12th that it has released the 'BeoSound 2', a luxury wireless all-in-one speaker reminiscent of a sculpture with flowing music.
Beosound 2 is a new product from the luxury line 'Bang&Olufsen', and is targeted at newlyweds and self-interior enthusiasts who pursue a music lifestyle and want to use audio as an interior object in relatively small living spaces.

The new product is a sibling speaker to the BeoSound 1, which Bang & Olufsen released last month. While the conical shape is very similar, it is approximately 30% larger overall and offers significantly richer mid- and high-frequency sound.

The Beosound 2 is equipped with speaker drivers consisting of one 3/4-inch tweeter, two 2-inch midrange drivers, and one 5 1/4-inch bass driver, and is equipped with a Class D amplifier consisting of one 40W tweeter, two 11W midrange drivers, and two 20W woofers. The total output is 102W.

Designed by Danish industrial designer Torsten Valuer, it measures 20cm wide, 43cm high, and weighs 4.1kg. The speaker cabinet is constructed of durable anodized aluminum, making it resistant to external impacts and boasting the unique, luxurious, subtle sheen of anodized aluminum. You can conveniently move the speaker by holding the grooved part on the top of the speaker and placing it on a table, floor, or other place that will accentuate your home interior.

Beosound 2 features a harmonious application of the advanced sound technology of the luxury line 'Bang&Olufsen' and the practical operation of the premium line 'B&O PLAY'.
The 'Acoustic Lens Technology' applied to the Luxury line is mounted on the top of the speaker, delivering sound consistently and horizontally in a 360-degree direction regardless of the listener's position. In addition, the 'Adaptive Bass Linearization' function automatically reduces the bass output when the volume suddenly increases during use to prevent sound distortion. In addition, the 'Thermal Protection' function automatically regulates the temperature when the amplifier overheats, preventing damage to the driver caused by the amplifier overheating.

Operation is as simple as its conical design. Simply tap, rub, and rotate the touch wheel on the top of the speaker to adjust the volume and skip tracks. The speaker's built-in proximity sensor automatically detects your location, allowing you to conveniently operate the touch wheel regardless of where you approach.

Provides a total of 102W of uniform sound in 360 degrees

You can enjoy a wider variety of streaming music services through smart devices such as mobile devices. It supports streaming formats such as AirPlay, Google Cast, and Bluetooth, and you can use music streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, and TuneIn Internet Radio.

Additionally, the new product supports 'BeoLink Multiroom', which allows you to freely connect and control all Bang & Olufsen audio devices in a wireless environment with one touch. It can be operated via the 'BeoRemote One' remote control and the 'BeoMusic' app, and can also be paired with the 'BeoSound Essence' one-touch sound system. In spaces where a wireless environment is difficult, a line-in terminal located on the bottom of the speaker allows for wired connection to various devices.
