System air conditioners specialized for the North American region unveiled at the AHR Expo

At the 'AHR Expo (International Air-Conditioning Heating Refrigerating Exposition) 2017', a large number of strategic products were unveiled.

At this exhibition, LG Electronics unveiled a wide range of products specialized for the North American market, from components to finished goods. It introduced system air conditioners such as the 'Multi V 5', 'Multi VS', and 'Multi F Max' that provide optimal cooling and heating based on the size, characteristics, and use of buildings.

The Multi V 5 is equipped with a high-efficiency inverter compressor independently developed by LG Electronics. It offers higher energy efficiency than the existing Multi V 4 while having a smaller installation footprint and lighter weight. Equipped with temperature and humidity sensors in both the indoor and outdoor units, it automatically adjusts indoor temperature and humidity to the most comfortable levels.

The Multi V-S is a compact, highly efficient, and low-noise product suitable for small to medium-sized offices and commercial spaces. It is also the only product currently sold in North America with a capacity of 5 refrigeration tons or less that provides both cooling and heating simultaneously. Multi-F Max can connect up to eight indoor units to a single outdoor unit, making it convenient to use in many large single-family homes in North America.

The approximately 30 types of compressors and motors unveiled by LG Electronics at the exhibition are key components used in HVAC products. Last year, LG Electronics sold more than 40% of its total compressor production to external customers. The company announced plans to further increase the proportion of external compressor sales this year.
