Konus, a company specializing in ICT convergence technology, announced that it has improved its IoT-based smart toilet system by applying silicone lenses from its partner, IL Science.

The improved product features a silicone lens applied to the indicator component that displays the occupancy status of the smart restroom, adding advantages such as extended lifespan by preventing product deterioration and improved aesthetics through the even dispersion of light.

Knus's IoT smart restroom is a system based on wireless human detection technology that identifies the occupancy of each stall and displays the status on the entrance and the door of each stall. Occupancy is indicated by a monitor and LED indicators.

Currently, installation has been completed at 35 highway rest area toilets, including those in Munmak, Wonju, Gangneung, Gapyeong, and Sacheon, and distribution is being expanded to public facilities such as SRT and the Racecourse.
