LG Uplus Launches IoT Multi-tap Controllable via App
Published2017.02.23 11:45LG Uplus is launching an IoT power strip that allows users to control home appliances via smartphone and cut off standby power without unplugging.
This product supports 3,520 watts, allowing you to connect and use various home appliances simultaneously. In addition to the four power outlets, it is equipped with two USB charging ports, enabling you to charge smartphones.
Through the smartphone application 'IoT@home' provided by LG Uplus, users can utilize convenient features of the power strip, such as checking and receiving notifications on the power ON/OFF status, setting automatic power ON/OFF timers, and cutting off standby power and overload. Additionally, the power can be controlled remotely from outside using the app.
In addition, if the temperature rises above a dangerous level due to prolonged use of heating appliances or exceeds the maximum power supported by the power strip, it provides a prior notification via smartphone and automatically cuts off the electricity.

LG유플러스가 종합건설업체인 제일건설의 프리미엄 아파트 1만 여 세대에 홈 IoT 서비스를 공급한다. LG유플러스는 본사에서 제일건설을 비롯해 홈네트워크 시스템 개발사인 ‘씨브이네트’, 홈IoT 디바이스 공급사인 ‘제니스앤컴퍼니’의 임직원이 참석한 가운데 IoT 사업 협약식을 갖고 아파트 내 스마트홈 플랫폼 구축에 상호 협력키로 했다.

CEO Kang Min-seung emphasized at Snowflake's World Tour Seoul that generative AI has entered a phase where "trust" rather than accuracy becomes the key competitive advantage.
