LG Uplus announced on the 27th that it will install a home IoT system in 10,000 apartment units being built and supplied in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province by the Sky Town Housing Association, which is composed mainly of airline and airport corporation employees.

LG Uplus signed a business agreement with Cheongil Construction, Sky Town Housing Association, and CVNet, a home network system developer, and decided to prioritize the supply of home IoT systems to 3,857 households, including 1,600 households in 16 buildings of Gimpo Sau Sky Town and 2,257 households of Gimpo Hangang Sky Town, to be built in Sau-dong and Gamjeong-dong, Gimpo City.

LG Uplus's IoT system is also scheduled to be installed in an additional 6,100 households, including 'Incheon Bullo Sky Town', which will be built in this area in the future.

The home IoT system being built at Sky Town will feature an IoT hub on the wall pad, allowing residents to control not only existing built-in appliances such as lighting, gas, heating, and standby power cutoff, but also 35 types of LG Uplus IoT services, including pet stations, home CCTV MomCam, and open detection sensors, as well as individually purchased IoT appliances such as boilers, air purifiers, and refrigerators, through the smartphone app 'IoT@home' .

In addition, wired and wireless devices configured according to the outing and return-to-home modes can be automatically activated based on smartphone location information.
