Brightness control, EV charging, and even parking information all in one streetlight

Infineon Technologies announced that it has developed intelligent streetlights in collaboration with Eluminocity.
This intelligent street light uses LEDs to save energy and adjusts brightness according to the weather. It can integrate electric vehicle (EV) chargers, enabling the installation of charging stations in residential areas and contributing to the adoption of EVs. It can also be equipped with parking space sensors, allowing for the management of information regarding vehicle spaces.
This is not all. By integrating gas sensors, air quality can be measured, and if it exceeds defined limits, a report can be sent to the city's control center via cloud access. Additionally, if equipped with a microphone, measured audio patterns can be analyzed to send an alert to the police station in the event of a car accident.
An Infineon official said, “We have partnered with our partners to introduce a secure platform that provides scalable sensor hubs, data processing, and connectivity. We will also focus on 5G adoption while leveraging existing cellular infrastructure.”

인피니언과 XMOS, 오디오 빔포밍 사용한 원거리 음성 감지 기능 제공
인피니언 테크놀로지스는 XMOS와 제휴해서 음성 인식을 위한 새로운 빌딩 블록을 제공하게 되었다. 인피니언의 레이더 및 실리콘 마이크로폰 센서와 XMOS의 오디오 프로세서를 결합함으로써 오디오 빔포밍(beamforming)을 사용한 원거리 음성 포착과 레이더 목표물 감지 기능을 제공한다.
