HDCP 2.2 IIA for Miracast Interface Products
Specification test for ULTRA HD PREMIUM compatibility certification

Simplay Labs announced that its Shanghai, China lab is providing HDMI Alt mode testing services for the USB Type-C standard. The Taiwan facility will offer similar services starting in the end of the first quarter of 2017. In addition, all of Simplay Labs' facilities worldwide provide testing services for the HDCP 2.2 IIA standard supporting the Miracast interface, and ULTRA HD PREMIUM certification testing services are scheduled to be provided at the Simplay Labs Shenzhen, China facility starting in April 2017.



With the USB Type-C connector, HDMI-supported source devices such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs can be directly connected to HDMI-enabled displays with a single cable. This service enables immediate support for compatibility test specifications and policies for the HDMI 1.4b standard.

In anticipation of the release of various displays, smartphones, and tablet products supporting the HDCP 2.2 IIA standard, Simplay Labs developed a related test tool in 2016 and received approval from the DCP. The SL-8810 test tool evaluates compatibility with this standard as well as the ability to securely transmit copyrighted premium content.
The UHDA ULTRA HD PREMIUM logo is awarded only to certified products and services that meet or exceed specific performance requirements for resolution, HDR, and a wide color spectrum.
