Buzz over Galaxy S8 launch, is the G6 launching content?

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon attended the event to congratulate the first customers. The first and second customers were a male and female college student couple from Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, who waited 39 hours to get their hands on the S8.
KT will provide the first subscriber with the premium plan 'LTE Data Select 87.8,' which offers unlimited data roaming for up to 24 days annually, for one year, and will waive the one-year usage fee for Galaxy Change-Up. In addition, KT, the official telecommunications partner of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, selected the first subscriber as a reserve torchbearer.
SK Telecom displayed its connected car 'T5' in stores and invited figure skating queen Kim Yuna. SK's first customer to activate the service waited five nights and six days to get their hands on the S8, setting an all-time record for the longest waiting period. The first customer received a commemorative photo with Kim Yuna and was awarded a Samsung SUHD TV worth a total of 5 million won, along with vouchers to purchase Lineage 2 Revolution items.
LG announced on the same day (the 18th) at 'LG Smart World' that it would increase the number of LG G6 specialized content items by more than 50% to over 300. The plan is to continuously provide services exclusive to the G6, such as over 1,200 high-fidelity songs created in collaboration with musicians, as well as mobile games, videos, and wallpapers dedicated to the G6's 18:9 aspect ratio.
According to other media reports, it has been confirmed that some employees of LG Electronics’ Mobile Business Division came to work on the 14th, the company’s founding anniversary, leading to speculation that this is due to the poor performance of the G6, the flagship smartphone released in the first half of the year.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are set for official release on the upcoming Friday, the 21st.

KT경제 경영 연구소 디지에코는 4월 6일, 동향브리핑에서 “갤럭시 S8과 S8+, 아이폰 이길 수 있을까?”를 발표했다. 갤럭시 노트 7 배터리 사고로 빼앗긴 1위 자리 삼성전자는 2016년 8월 갤럭시 노트 7을 출시했으나 배터리 사고로 2달 만에 전면 리콜을 실시했다. 갤럭시 노트 7은 애플의 신규 단말 출시를 견제하며 2016년 하반기 및 2017년 초 단말 판매량에 중요한 역할을 하는 단말이었으나 실패로 돌아갔다. 삼성전자는 2016년 4분기 애플에 글로벌 스마트 시장 1위 자리를 내줘야 했다. 디지에코는 “스마트폰 시장에서 애플이 영업 이익의 대부분을 가져가는 구조로 시장 1위 자리가 큰 의미는 없겠지만 상징적 의미라며, 갤럭시 노트7의 실패가 없었다면 애플뿐만 아니라 중국과 동남아 지역까지 노리는 중국 업체와 간격을 벌일 수 있었을 것”이라고 적었다.
