[Decisive IT Scene] Let me introduce AI 'home appliances'

Targeting the smart home market with smarter home IoT devices.
LG Electronics has launched the 'SmartThinQ Hub 2.0', as well as the 'Air Station' and 'Solar Cell Temperature & Humidity Sensor', which help manage indoor air.
The 'SmartThinQ Hub 2.0' (model name: AIHC71G) is equipped with artificial intelligence capable of conversing with users. This product is a version of the 'SmartThinQ Hub' introduced by LG Electronics last year that adds natural language processing capabilities through voice recognition. Using this, users can easily operate home appliances and view their status using only their voice. For example, if a user says, "Start washing," the washing machine starts immediately, and if they say, "When will the washing be finished?", it informs them, "20 minutes remaining." Users can also easily connect home appliances and home IoT devices to the 'SmartThinQ Hub 2.0' via Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and other means.
Two home IoT devices, including the 'Air Station' (model name: AIAC71W) and the 'Solar Cell Temperature & Humidity Sensor' (model name: AITC71W), which enable effective management of indoor air quality, were also released. These products help maintain a comfortable indoor environment by monitoring indoor air conditions in real time and recommending product operation in conjunction with LG Electronics air conditioners, air purifiers, and other devices.
The 'Air Station' measures indoor air quality by being equipped with four sensors that detect fine dust, temperature, humidity, and CO2 concentration, respectively. If the 'Air Station' determines that the indoor air is poor, it recommends that the user operate the air purifier in the living room via the 'Smart ThinQ' app. The 'Solar Cell Temperature and Humidity Sensor' is a product specialized in temperature and humidity management that suggests appropriate temperature and humidity levels for five basic situations.
The company stated, "It notifies the user via smartphone when indoor temperature and humidity fall outside the 'comfortable range.' It utilizes sunlight or indoor lighting as energy, so no separate batteries or power connection are required."
Prices based on ex-factory price are 399,000 won for SmartThinQ Hub 2.0, 280,000 won for Air Station, and 59,000 won for Solar Temperature & Humidity Sensor.

LG Uplus Surpasses 20 Home IoT Construction Companies Through Agreement with Bando Construction
LG유플러스의 IoT 시스템을 통해 홈IoT 플랫폼을 구축키로 한 건설업체가 20개사를 돌파했다. LG유플러스는 서울 용산 사옥에서 반도건설과 사업 협약식을 갖고 아파트 댁내 홈 IoT 플랫폼 구축에 상호 협력키로 했다고 밝혔다. 양사간 사업협약에 따라 LG유플러스는 반도건설이 시행하고 건설 공급하는 ‘반도 유보라 아파트’에 홈 IoT 시스템을 구축할 예정이다.

[Critical IT Scene] Bathroom IoT Now Expands to 'Custom Bidets'
70만명 이상의 홈IoT 가입자를 보유하며 IoT 시장을 선도하고 있는 LG유플러스가콜러노비타와 손잡고 똑똑하고 편리한 욕실 환경 구현에 나섰다. LG유플러스는 국내 비데 등 생활가전 전문기업 콜러노비타와 함께 국내 최초로 IoT 비데를 선보인다고 밝혔다. IoT 비데는 LG유플러스 홈IoT 플랫폼인 ‘IoT@home’ 앱에 연동해 사용할 수 있는 IoT 특화 욕실 상품으로, 사용자는 댁내 와이파이 연결을 통해 비데 노즐, 세정, 온수, 세기 등을 개인 맞춤형으로 설정할 수 있다. 앱과 실시간 연동되는 IoT 비데는 사용자가 실제로 이용하는 비데 패턴을 빅데이터로 분석해 필터 교체 시기를 직접 알려준다. 이에 따라 사용자는 의무적으로 정해진 기간에 비데 필터를 바꿀 필요가 없어졌다. 예를 들어, 필터 교체, 노즐 세척 및 클린 서비스 시기가 되면 앱에서 푸시 알림이 전송되는 방식이다. 필터 구매 및 클린 서비스 요청은 앱 화면에서 LG유플러스 온라인 직영몰 ‘IoT Shop’으로 바로 접속할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, IoT 비데는 용변을 마친 후에도 휴대폰 검색 등으로 비데에 장시간 앉아있는 사용자들에게 일정 시간이 지나면 앱에서 ‘일어나라’는 알림을 보낸다. LG유플러스는 이번 IoT 비데 출시로 환풍기를 포함해 콘센트, 스위치, 플러그, 열림감지센서 등 기존 36종의 IoT 기기들과 서로 연동해 진정한 스마트 홈이 구현될 수 있도록 할 계획이다. 예를 들어, 화장실 스위치를 켜면 IoT 비데의 변좌 기능이 자동으로 켜지고, 비데에 사용자가 앉으면 LG유플러스 IoT 플랫폼에 연동된 환풍기가 자동으로 작동한다. LG유플러스 안성준 IoT 부문장은 “비데, 환풍기 등 욕실 IoT 제품 뿐만 아니라 고객에게 생활 가치 및 편의를 줄 수 있는 IoT 서비스를 지속적으로 선보일 계획”이라며 “연내 50종까지 IoT 상품을 확대해 국내 홈 IoT 시장에서 일등 사업자로서의 입지를 더욱 공고히 하겠다”고 말했다.
