The organization dedicated to the AI TV, GiGA Genie
Hiring approximately 50 additional AI specialists by the end of the year

Following the launch of the 'AI Tech Center,' a specialized organization in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), earlier this year, KT is introducing the new 'GiGA Genie Business Unit' early this month, dedicated to the AI TV 'GiGA Genie.'

'GiGA Genie,' introduced by KT in January of this year, is an AI-integrated set-top box that connects with IPTV (Olletv), internet phones, and home IoT devices to provide media, AI home assistant, home IoT hub, and voice and video call services.

The GiGA Genie Business Unit, newly established within the Marketing Strategy Division, is responsible for building an AI ecosystem through GiGA Genie marketing, new service development, and business partnerships.

With the launch of the GiGA Genie Business Unit, KT has now established itself in all areas of the AI field, including strategy formulation, technology development and business model discovery, ecosystem building, and professional training. Currently, KT has approximately 130 AI specialists, and the company plans to significantly reinforce both its organization and workforce by hiring an additional 50 people within the year.
