Samsung Electronics announced that it will launch the 2017 QLED gaming monitor CHG70 (27, 31.5-inch) with HDR (High Dynamic Range) functionality in the Korean market.

The CHG70 is an upgraded version of the Quantum Dot Curved Gaming Monitor (CFG70) released last year, featuring HDR technology.

The CHG70 achieves 125% sRGB, enabling a high level of color gamut expression, and supports up to 95% of the Digital Cinema Color Standard (DCI-P3), the production standard of Hollywood studios in the United States, thereby clearly displaying even minute details that conventional monitors could not express.

Samsung Electronics has engaged in various collaborations with gaming-related companies to create monitors optimized for gaming. In particular, this product has completed image quality verification through testing on HDR-based games such as EA DICE's 'Mass Effect', 'Star Wars Battlefront', and 'Need for Speed', ensuring that it faithfully reproduces the original creators' intentions.

In addition, this product is the world's first to feature AMD FreeSync 2 technology, providing seamless, smooth visuals even in HDR mode. With a fast response time of 1ms (MPRT, Motion Picture Response Time) and a high refresh rate of 144Hz, it delivers a screen free of ghosting and stuttering, creating an optimal gaming environment for gamers who enjoy high-definition game videos.
